Introduction:
Kinnaur district is situated in the eastern part of the state. The total geographical area of the district is 6401 Sq.km. The climate of the district is extremely cold in the winter. The economy of the district is predominantly agrarian and about 64% of the population is dependent on agriculture and its allied activities for earning their livelihood.
