Small Industries Service Institute (SISI), Solan was set up in 1973 and is engaged in promotion and development of Small Scale Industries in the State of Himachal Pradesh. The important consultancy services provided by the Institute include techno-economic and managerial services and basic input in the form of information required to set up new unit . Besides , revival of sick SSI units , conducting seminars/workshops and awareness programmes in different themes like pollution control , energy conservation , ODS , WTO,IPR & Vendor Development Programme under ancillarisartion programme etc. This institute has also prepared various technical and survey reports which are usefull for the existing as well as prospective entrepreneurs .
